About Lianna
Lianna Sanelli is a senior associate lawyer with more than a decade of experience spanning immigration and refugee law, family law, and criminal law. She represents clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board and Federal Court, including complex claims involving gender-based violence and criminality, and her practice covers refugee claims, appeals, judicial reviews, sponsorships, and humanitarian and compassionate applications. Before joining Sanelli Law, she worked as a lawyer at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, leading its Criminalization of Women Project, and previously co-authored national 2SLGBTQI+ policy at Egale Canada. Lianna holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School (2017) and an LL.B. with honours from the University of Exeter (2014). She is a panel member for Legal Aid Ontario and serves as President of the Board of Directors of SHORE Centre.
