About Leon
Leon L. Beukman has practised civil litigation for over 30 years, primarily defending clients against insurance claims including automobile, aviation, and product liability, as well as complex contractual and other commercial litigation and professional negligence claims. He has appeared in the British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, including civil jury trials, and has conducted numerous mediations. Before being called to the British Columbia Bar in 2002, Leon practised law in South Africa as a barrister/advocate of the Supreme Court of South Africa from 1991 to 1998 and as a solicitor/attorney from 1989 to 1991. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for corporate, insurance, personal injury litigation, and aviation law, and co-authored the BC Litigator's Pocket Reference (LexisNexis, 2011). Leon provides legal services through a law corporation.
