About Lee

Lee T. McMillan is the principal and managing lawyer at the firm, an experienced litigator who has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Manitoba Court of King's Bench. McMillan's practice focuses primarily on employment and independent contractor law along with general civil litigation. McMillan holds a degree in History and Political Science from Carleton University, graduating in the top 3% of the class and receiving the Senate Medal, and holds both a French (B.C.L.) and an English (LL.B.) law degree from McGill University Faculty of Law. McMillan completed a four-month internship at a litigation finance hedge fund in Manhattan and has worked with Indigenous communities across Western Canada, including interviewing 60s Scoop, Day School, and Residential School survivors between 2016 and 2018. McMillan is named in several published Alberta and Manitoba court decisions.
