About Lauren

Lauren is an associate lawyer at GKS Law Firm whose practice focuses on Workers' Compensation appeals. Before joining the firm she practised criminal defence and administrative driving law at a firm in downtown Vancouver, handling bail and sentencing hearings, trials, and disclosure review at both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. During law school she was a student caseworker for the Innocence Project at the Peter A. Allard School of Law and published a paper on media bias and wrongful convictions in the Manitoba Law Journal, making recommendations for reform to the use of juries. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law in 2020 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 2016.
