About Laura

Laura McConnell is a LegalShield Associate who joined Mills & Mills LLP in 2020. Before entering private practice she worked in the not-for-profit sector as executive director of an organization supporting women coping with addiction. She was called to the bar in 2017 after articling with a general practice firm in her hometown of Sault Ste. Marie. As an associate, Laura built a broad practice covering family law, small claims court, civil litigation, estate litigation, residential real estate, and wills and estates, and served as duty counsel on the Family Law Legal Aid Panel before the Ontario Court of Justice. She holds a JD from the University of Windsor and a BA from the University of Toronto.
