About Laesha
Laesha has practised dispute resolution for nearly two decades, focusing on securities, administrative law, and complex commercial litigation, and has worked extensively on regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings in the US, UK, and Canada. Before Poulus Ensom Smith, she was a partner at McEwan Partners, served as litigation counsel in the BC Securities Commission's Enforcement Department, and practised for ten years at international firms in New York and London on high-stakes commercial litigation and regulatory matters. She has secured multiple settlements and rulings against the BC Securities Commission, chairs the board of the Rise Women's Legal Centre, and has been recognized on Benchmark Litigation Canada's Top 100 Women in Litigation list since 2023.
