About Hein

Hein aims to help clients avoid litigation where possible, find early off-ramps when it is unavoidable, and minimize the total cost of any dispute. Before law, he held senior management roles with Kaiser Resources, the Denver Broncos, and a U.S. private equity firm, and he has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and the BC Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2001 and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2010, and has led notable matters including the successful defence of the Aquilini family's interest in the Vancouver Canucks.
