She represented Dalhousie University at the Gale Cup Moot in criminal law during law school and has since attended the Osgoode Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop. She appears regularly in Family Court, Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Supreme Court (Family Division), and also provides independent legal advice and representation to victims regarding their rights and privacy interests in criminal litigation. Kristy earned her J.D. from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law in 2015 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2016.
