About Kosta

Kosta L. Vartsakis practises civil and commercial litigation at Merit Law Corporation, focusing on construction law and dispute resolution. He advises owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, insurers, and design professionals on procurement, tendering, contract drafting, workmanship issues, builders' liens, insurance and bonding, cost overruns, and delay claims. His practice also covers insurance, corporate and shareholder disputes, intellectual property, professional liability, and employment law matters. He has appeared before all levels of court in Manitoba and the Federal Court of Canada, as well as courts in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. Kosta graduated from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law in 2018, was called to the Manitoba bar in 2019, and practised at a large Winnipeg firm for five years before joining Merit Law Corporation as a founding lawyer in 2024.
