About Ken

Ken Volkenant is a founding partner of Volkenant Law Group and the firm's senior solicitor, with more than 32 years of legal experience. Before founding the firm, he was the founding partner of De Jager Volkenant, a charity and non-profit law firm in British Columbia. He provides legal advice to business and non-profit clients from start-up through wind-up, including corporate, commercial, and real estate transactions, and has extensive experience with housing projects and complex real estate development and financing structures involving BC Housing. He also assists clients with personal estate and succession planning, including wills, planning instruments, and trusts, and teaches frequently on not-for-profit and charity law, board governance, and wills and estate planning. Volkenant was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1987 and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in History, both from the University of British Columbia. He provides legal services through Kenneth H. Volkenant Personal Law Corporation.
