About Katie

Katie is a co-founder of Merida Law. After graduating from Dalhousie Law School in 2019, she worked with UN Women in Belgrade, Serbia, through the Canadian Bar Association's Young Lawyer International Program, then began her Canadian legal career in Nova Scotia practising real estate transactions, wills and estates, and family law. She co-founded Merida Law with Jennifer Reid and Hillary Brannen in 2022. Before law, Katie started her first business at age 12, played an essential role in her family's direct marketing farm business, and ran a café between her undergraduate degree and law school. She continues ongoing training in wills and estates and, outside work, enjoys quilting and board games.
