About Karina

Karina L. Jackson is a family lawyer and mediator with nearly 20 years of experience. Originally from Powell River, BC, she graduated with Honours from the University of Victoria and completed her law degree in 2002. She was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2003 and later in the Northwest Territories in 2005, where she worked as a family lawyer for Legal Aid before becoming the territory's first Children's Lawyer in 2011. She later practiced family law in Saskatchewan before returning to BC, where she now practices family law and mediation in the Comox Valley and Powell River. She's represented clients, including children, at all levels of court up to the Supreme Court of Canada, and she's a certified Family Mediator trained in high-conflict mediation and intimate partner violence.
