About Karen

Karen Heath is counsel at Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc, where she practises across all areas of professional regulation. She has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, before administrative tribunals, and at the Supreme Court of Canada. Most recently she worked at a boutique litigation firm representing professionals in regulatory proceedings and prosecuting professionals on behalf of provincial regulators. Karen began her career as a criminal lawyer at several well-known Toronto criminal firms before moving into professional regulation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Dalhousie University, a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, and clerked for judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice after graduating.
