About Kalila

Kalila B. Wilkinson is a criminal defence lawyer who works with La Liberté Cronin & Company on select trial and appellate matters. She first joined the firm as an articling student in 2016 and has since acted as co-counsel alongside T. E. (Terry) La Liberté, K.C. in complex trials. She has represented clients facing criminal charges throughout British Columbia in both Provincial and Supreme Court, and her practice is based primarily in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Wilkinson also serves as lawyer for the Director of Child and Family Services and as supervising lawyer at the Society for Equity Inclusion and Advocacy. She is a Regional Representative for the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society and a member of the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia's Allard School of Law (2017), with a specialization in Social Justice, and received the Trial Advocacy Scholarship.
