About Justin Bozzo

Justin Bozzo is an Ontario lawyer and mediator whose practice is built on civil litigation and dispute resolution. That means everything from examinations and cross-examinations to settlements worked out with insurers, financial institutions, contractors, police and government. On the other side of the table, Justin sits as a roster mediator for Ontario's Mandatory Mediation Program in Toronto, Ottawa and Windsor, and has also worked as a community mediator and a conflict coach.

Justin opened Bozzo Law in July 2020, a month after articling wrapped up and not long after the Ontario call. Teaching runs alongside the practice: as an instructor and campus lead in an accredited Ontario paralegal program, Justin has covered 18 legal subjects, small claims, evidence and advocacy among them.

Law wasn't Justin's first career. For close to twenty years, the stage came first: Justin led and managed a professional rock band, put out original music and played more than 1,000 shows in Canada and the United States. Justin also sang and played bass, among other instruments, in The Zilis, a Hamilton rock and roll group active from 2012 to 2017.

Writing is the thread through all of it, from legal work to teaching to the arts. Before law school, Justin studied philosophy at McMaster. Since starting the firm, Justin has kept a five-day-a-week exercise routine and worked with an old friend on a full-length album of original songs. Clients in Toronto, Waterloo and elsewhere in Ontario can bring Justin in either as their own counsel or as a neutral mediator.

Justin represents clients in civil and administrative disputes and has handled applications over both commercial and personal property. In one matter, Justin obtained an Ontario Court of Appeal judgment and then enforced it.
