About Jordan
Jordan Scopa is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Goodmans and co-chairs its Intellectual Property Group. His practice centers on intellectual property disputes involving patents, trademarks, and copyright, and he appears frequently before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, as well as occasionally before the Supreme Court of Canada. Jordan handles a high volume of patent litigation, working with clients through every stage of a case, from pre-litigation strategy through discovery, expert evidence, trial, and appeal, and he also maintains a dedicated appellate practice focused on taking over appeals after an unsuccessful trial. His work has touched industries ranging from pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to mining equipment, oil and gas, and consumer goods. Jordan also advises pharmaceutical clients on regulatory matters under the Food and Drugs Act and on pricing issues before the Patented Medicines Prices Review Board.
