About John

John G. Tait graduated from UBC Law School in 1974 and was called to the bar in May 1975. He began practising in Mission that year and co-founded Taylor, Tait, Ruley & Company in 1978 with Gordon Taylor. His practice focuses primarily on family law, including divorce, separation agreements, cohabitation and marriage agreements, property division, and support, custody and adoption matters. He also has extensive experience in estate planning and estate litigation, including claims under the Wills, Estates and Succession Act. Tait is a member of the Collaborative Divorce bar and resolves many matters through mediation. He has served as chairman of the Mission hospital board and the Fraser House Society, and on the Law Society Discipline Sub-Committee.
