About Joe
Joe Brennan is counsel who advises public and private companies, private equity funds, investment banks, and exempt market dealers on financing and transactional matters. His work covers equity and debt financings, IPOs, RTOs, CPCs and QTs, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and restructurings, and proxy contests. He also guides clients on ongoing corporate governance, continuous disclosure, and regulatory compliance. Joe has acted as lead counsel on roughly $3.0 billion in public debt and equity financings and has been involved in about $5.0 billion in M&A transactions. He earned his law degree from the University of Alberta in 1996 and was called to the Alberta bar in 1997. He also holds education degrees from the University of Toronto. Joe is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Calgary Bar Association.
