About Joan
Joan Tigert graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2000, joining Donnelly Murphy's family law practice in 2022 after more than twenty years appearing before the Divisional Court, the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. She handles separation, divorce and the division of family property, and uses mediation and alternative dispute resolution to help clients reach early resolutions. Tigert also represents parents and respondents in child protection applications and accepts Legal Aid certificates for child protection matters in Goderich, Sarnia, Stratford and Walkerton. She has served as vice president of the Victoria Haliburton Law Association since 2022 and belongs to the Huron County Law Association, the Bruce County Law Association and the Advocates' Society.
