About Hortense
Hortense A. Fraser is an associate lawyer whose practice covers estate and capacity law, civil litigation, family law, and corporate and commercial law, including commercial leasing. She has represented clients in estate, real estate and contract disputes as well as provincial offences and municipal matters, appearing before the Superior Courts, Small Claims Court, the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Land Tribunal. Hortense earned her law degree with Honours from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, and after immigrating to Canada she completed the accreditation process and passed the Ontario bar exams in 2020. She trained through the Law Practice Program with Ryerson University, completing four months of in-person training with the firm in January 2021, and was called to the bar in May 2021. She previously lectured and currently serves on the board of the Affiliated Services for Children and Youth.
