Administrative & Regulatory LawAndrew Burgess is a Toronto lawyer whose practice covers criminal, civil, and regulatory litigation. He has appeared as counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada, conducted dozens of appeals at the Ontario Court of Appeal, and tried cases including murder trials, complex regulatory proceedings, and commercial-list civil trials. After law school he clerked for Chief Justice McLachlin at the Supreme Court of Canada, then practised with Addario Law Group and Stikeman Elliott before starting his own firm. He has acted for civil liberties organizations on constitutional matters and previously taught trial advocacy at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and is fluently bilingual, representing clients in English or French.
