About Jessica George

Jessica George is a corporate partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office, advising clients on deal work across a range of industries.

Much of George's work centres on Indigenous economic development.

Jessica is Ojibway, a member of Couchiching First Nation, and grew up near its reserve in northwestern Ontario. As a law student at Osgoode Hall, George went after large firms with groups serving Indigenous businesses, and landed a summer position at Gowling WLG. A JD in 2016 and a 2017 call to the Ontario bar followed.

Inside the firm, George co-chairs the Toronto office's Momentum Committee, which works on advancing its equity, diversity and inclusion strategy. Best Lawyers has recognized George in Ones to Watch for Corporate Law since 2025.
