About Jessica

Jessica Dawkins represents clients facing charges under the Criminal Code, Motor Vehicle Act, and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University, spending a semester with Dalhousie Legal Aid assisting low-income individuals, for which she received the Sarah MacWalker MacKenzie Award, and served as Executive Director of the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service. After her studies, she worked with the public interest litigation group at an NGO in Nairobi, Kenya. Jessica articled with Johnson Doyle and has grown her criminal law practice since her call to the bar in 2021. She is a member of the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers and the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society.
