About Jeremy
Jeremy Syrtash joined Sommers Roth & Elmaleh as an articling student in 2013 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2014. As a civil litigator, he focuses on medical malpractice and personal injury, with particular attention to paediatric and obstetrical negligence, and has served as co-counsel on numerous malpractice trials. His earlier work as a personal support worker shaped his advocacy for clients with disabilities. Jeremy has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, and lectures frequently to physicians, nurses and hospital staff on medical negligence law. He holds a BA with honours from Yeshiva University and a JD from the University of Ottawa.
