About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Cohen serves as Torkin Manes' Managing Partner while maintaining an active corporate law practice focused primarily on mergers, acquisitions, dispositions of businesses, and complex financings. Over more than 35 years, he has advised entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals, established corporations, and not-for-profit organizations on their business objectives. Jeff often sits on the boards or advisory boards of client companies, reflecting his view that understanding a client's business is essential to good counsel. He also mentors lawyers within the firm to support their development. Jeff earned his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School and a BA from McGill University, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1986. He has been recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers Canada, Best Lawyers in Canada, and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
