About Jared
Jared Kantor is the founder of Kantor LLP and one of Calgary's most respected estate litigators, with more than 20 years of experience acting for personal representatives, executors, trustees, beneficiaries, adult interdependent partners, dependent adults, and financial institutions. He has advocated on matters ranging from $500,000 to $105 million, including international trust disputes in the Bahamas and Barbados, and has appeared before the Alberta Court of Appeal, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta and the Provincial Court of Alberta. His reported cases include contested will challenges, removal of personal representatives, executor compensation disputes, and resulting and constructive trust claims. He was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2004, holds an LLB from the University of Saskatchewan (2003), and a BA from the University of Alberta (2000). He is a frequent speaker for the Legal Education Society of Alberta on estate matters.
