About Brett

Brett Turnquist practises exclusively in wills, estates and incapacity matters at Kantor LLP, with an emphasis on adult guardianship and trusteeship litigation and estate litigation involving mental incapacity or undue influence. Admitted to the Alberta bar in 2012, she has appeared before the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and the Tax Court of Canada, and is working toward the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Her practice covers contested and non-contentious matters including probate, executor and trustee compensation applications, removal of attorneys, guardians and trustees, and power of attorney fraud and misappropriation. She holds a Juris Doctorate and an MBA from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business (2011), and two Bachelor of Arts degrees with Distinction in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Calgary (2005).
