About James

James Zegers is a criminal lawyer practising in London, Ontario. Zegers received a law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1993 and, in his final year, studied at the University of Leiden, earning a certificate in European Community Law. Zegers is a past president of the Middlesex Law Association and received the Federation of Ontario Law Associations President's Award in 2020 for leadership and innovation through the association. Zegers is a member of the Ontario Criminal Lawyers Association, the Advocates' Society, and the London Criminal Lawyers' Association, and previously taught as an adjunct professor of Criminal and Business Law at Brescia College. Zegers has volunteered with Court House Rocks, a fundraising event supporting London Lawyers Feed the Hungry, and served as treasurer of the London Criminal Lawyers Association.
