James S. Ehmann, K.C. is a Partner at Kanuka Thuringer LLP in Regina, focusing on construction, insurance, energy and resources, and professional liability disputes from a problem-solving and litigation perspective. He has appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, courts in Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta, the Supreme Court of Canada, and various administrative tribunals and regulatory bodies, and has served as an arbitrator, mediator, and expert witness on the standard of care applicable to lawyers. Ehmann was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1981 and appointed Queen's Counsel in 2002. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2006 as a leader in class action litigation, construction law, corporate and commercial litigation, and insurance law, and was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2008.
