About James

James M. Regan is a partner at Regan Desjardins LLP with an insurance law practice built over more than five decades. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis Xavier University in 1966 and his Bachelor of Laws from Queen's University, Faculty of Law, in 1969, and was called to the Bar in 1971. Regan has litigated more than 300 jury and non-jury trials, has appeared before the Court of Appeal numerous times, and has extensive mediation experience. He has been certified by the Law Society as a specialist in civil litigation and has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars on legal and insurance issues. He belongs to the Defence Research Institute, the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers Association, the Advocates' Society, and the International Association of Defence Counsel.
