About James
James (Jim) Heller is a criminal defence lawyer in Victoria, BC, called to the bar in 1993. Before then he practised in California, where he graduated from USC Law in 1987. His caseload spans minor summary offences to serious matters, most notably homicides, for which he is willing to travel around the province. Jim aims to understand and communicate clearly with clients so they can make informed decisions about their case, and he has practised for over three decades.
