About Jalal

Jalal Jaffer, K.C. has over 30 years of experience as a litigator and solicitor, working across civil litigation, commercial and residential real estate, corporate law, and estate planning. He was appointed Queen's Counsel (now King's Counsel) in 2015, a designation reserved for no more than 7 percent of BC lawyers. Born and raised in East Africa and educated in London, England, he earned his law degree from UBC in 1977 and articled with Peterson Stark, remaining with that firm for 35 years before joining Hamilton Duncan in 2024 along with his colleagues from Peterson Stark Scott.
