R. Douglas Elliott
R. Douglas Elliott is a partner at Cambridge LLP (currently on temporary leave) whose practice spans estates and trusts litigation, class actions, commercial litigation, and constitutional and human rights litigation. He received his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1982 and was called to the Bar in 1984. He's known for landmark constitutional cases such as same-sex marriage and led the legal team in the $145 million LGBT Purge class action settlement. In 2024 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada.
