About Jake
Jake Svirsky is part of TGF's litigation team, where his docket includes contract and shareholder disputes, franchise matters, commercial leasing and real property issues, along with employment, infrastructure, construction, and professional negligence cases. He earned his law degree at the University of Toronto after completing an Honours B.A. in Political Studies at Queen's University, and while in law school served as an Associate Editor of the U of T Faculty of Law Review, worked as a peer mentor, and volunteered with the Artists' Legal Advice Services Clinic, in addition to playing on the law school's men's hockey team. Before joining TGF he worked at other litigation firms on high-value commercial disputes and class actions, and his litigation experience spans the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and both the Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal for Ontario. He is also conversational in Russian.
