About Jacques

Jacques Côté was born and raised in Orléans and has practised law there since being called to the Ontario Bar in February 1996. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa's Francophone Common Law program in 1994 and articled with the Ottawa firm of Lalonde, Chartrand, Colonnier, O'Connor. He taught civil procedure and insolvency law courses at the Law Society of Ontario from 2001 to 2008, and has taught paralegal and legal-assistant students at La Cité Collégiale and the University of Ottawa. Bilingual in English and French, Côté has practised as a sole practitioner since 1996 and, after years of civil litigation work, now focuses solely on real estate and wills and estates law.
