About Jacqueline

Jacqueline Lewis has been Managing Partner at Lewis & Associates LLP since 1991, with nearly three decades representing refugees before the Refugee Protection Division and challenging negative decisions at the Federal Court of Canada. She earned a B.A. with Honours from York University in 1985, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1989, and a Master of Laws in Administrative Law from Osgoode Hall in 2001. Jacqueline has taught immigration and refugee law at Carleton University and Western University, and registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant with the Istanbul Bar Association in March 2020. That same month she received the Law Society of Ontario's Laura Legge Award for leadership by women in the profession. She chairs the Board of Directors of Egale Canada.
