About Ian

Ian Gavaghan is a barrister and solicitor practicing real estate, corporate, and business law in Kingston. He has practiced law since 1988, beginning his career with Borden & Elliot in Toronto before serving as Vice President with Bell ExpressVu LP. He has worked on hundreds of business transactions and thousands of real estate transactions, including acting as lead lawyer on Bell ExpressVu's acquisition of the NiMIQ 1 satellite. In 2026, due to health issues, his practice began winding down, and he now acts in a consultative capacity as counsel to lawyer Jennifer Tam's real estate practice.
