Rate cases and regulatory applications
Ian acts as Ontario regulatory counsel for large gas consumers who intervene regularly in OEB gas rate and policy proceedings, and for a large utility group in provincial and national applications, sometimes as the applicant and sometimes as an intervenor. On the electricity side, Ian was counsel to an Ontario distributor whose modified Custom IR application the OEB approved essentially as requested in November 2015, setting its rates from 2015 through 2019.
Licensing, permits and leave to construct
Applicants come to Ian for electricity transmission, distribution and energy retailing licences in Ontario, for pipeline leave to construct, and for consolidations of electricity distributors.
