About Harvey

Harvey Slobodzian majored in economics at the University of Winnipeg before earning his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1983, winning the Commercial Law Prize and serving on the Manitoba Law Journal's editorial staff. He was called to the bar in 1984 after articling with Newman MacLean, then studied French in Paris before joining Baker Zivot & Co. in 1985. A general practitioner focused on domestic and civil litigation, he has argued cases up to the Supreme Court of Canada and served on several tribunals, including as presiding member of the Manitoba Mining Board.
