About Harold

Harold Niman serves as counsel to the firm, drawing on more than four decades of family law experience, and is regularly listed among top practitioners in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He has worked on numerous precedent-setting family law cases at every court level up to the Supreme Court of Canada, covering complex financial disputes, contested custody and access matters, and cases involving relocation. Niman has tried many cases and was qualified as a family law expert witness by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, which also appointed him as a dispute resolution officer within its Family Law Division. He has taught the Ontario Bar admission course, contributed to Osgoode Hall's family law training programs, published legal writing, co-authored a textbook on family law evidence, and received a long-service teaching award from the Law Society of Ontario.
