About Godfred

Godfred represents clients across Nova Scotia in criminal defence, family law, immigration, business law and civil litigation, defending clients against charges under the Criminal Code and litigating before all levels of court in the province, including the Federal Court of Appeal and Tax Court. He has also appeared before the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board and provided legal opinions across various practice areas. He is a notary public with a particular focus on representing immigrants in criminal matters. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society's Racial Equity Committee, is active with the Halifax Harbourside Rotary Club, chairing its International Committee, and has served on the board of the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes, including as Board Chair from 2016 to 2018.
