About Gillian
Gillian Olsen works with corporate and individual clients on complex commercial disputes, regulatory issues, and internal investigations across Canada and the United States. Her investigations work covers both public and private companies, sometimes launched independently and sometimes prompted by a government inquiry, often touching on regulatory non-compliance, fraud, and finance-related misconduct. She also takes on civil sexual assault cases, appearing for either the claimant or the party being sued. Her client base spans consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, real estate development, and banking and financial services. She earned her law degree with honours at the University of Toronto, where she picked up prizes in evidence and international human rights law along with the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Award, given to five first-year students each year who reach honours standing. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, graduating on the Dean's Honour List, and belongs to the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and The Advocates' Society.
