About Germain

Germain Jutras founded the firm in 1971 and is now a retired lawyer serving the firm as grievance arbitrator and advisor. Born in Nicolet in 1943 and a Drummondville resident since 1949, he was called to the bar in 1967 and served as a judge of the Court of Quebec from 1977 to 1979. He taught labour law at the Bar School from 1981 to 1987 and has worked as a labour arbitrator since 1980, including for Hydro-Québec and the City of Montreal. He argued major cases before courts across Quebec, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and served as Bâtonnier of the Barreau d'Arthabaska. In 2016 he was named a Builder in the Drummond Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame for his decades of civic and charitable involvement.
