George B. Smith practises real property, estate, and commercial law with Lutz Parish Gerrish. Smith served on the Law Society of New Brunswick's Council from July 2001 to June 2003 and became a Law Society Life Member in 2023. Smith has been a longtime member of the Sussex Golf & Curling Club since 1973, sitting on its board and serving as President from 1977 to 1979, and was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Sussex in 1977, later serving as its President. Smith also served as a School District No. 18 Trustee and chair of its Finance Committee from 1983 to 1989.
