About Garfield

Staats is an articled student at Forward Law whose practice interests include Indigenous law and governance, business/corporate/commercial law, estate planning and wills, probate and estates, and dispute resolution. He is Haudenosaunee Mohawk, a member of the Six Nations of the Grand River in Ontario, and now based in Kamloops. He served as President of the Indigenous Law Students' Association during law school, holds a Commercial Pilot's Licence obtained in 2012, and previously worked as a helicopter pilot.
