About Fernando
Fernando Arteaga is the founder of Arteaga Legal Group and a Spanish-speaking lawyer serving Calgary's diverse community. He began his legal career in Ecuador in 2004 as counsel in the litigation department of a government deposit-insurance agency, and has practiced law in Canada for more than eight years since relocating, with his Canadian practice now focused primarily on real estate transactions, purchases, sales, and refinances. Before focusing on real estate, Fernando represented individuals and businesses in complex civil litigation, conducting trials at the Alberta Court of Justice and appearing before the Alberta Court of Appeal. He holds a bachelor's degree in Social and Political Science and a law degree from Universidad Catolica in Ecuador, a Criminal Justice Diploma from the College of the Rockies, and a Master of Laws in Energy and Environmental Law from the University of Calgary. He was called to the bar in Guayas, Ecuador in 2004 and to the Alberta bar in 2017.
