About Evgenia
Evgenia Karakehayova is an associate lawyer at Drake Law who immigrated to Canada from Bulgaria at age twelve. She completed a trilingual honours Bachelor of Arts in international relations at York University's Glendon Campus, a Master's degree in international development at the University of Guelph, and a Juris Doctor at the University of Windsor in 2021, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2023. Before law school she worked in the translation industry, and she later gained experience through bilingual legal clinics and community legal aid organizations. She began her career in civil litigation before moving into family law, where she draws on her multilingual background with clients.
