About Erwan

Erwan Jonchères founded Satoshi Legal and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2018. His practice centers on business law, intellectual property, and privacy and data protection compliance, and he works day-to-day with Quebec and international technology companies on their legal needs. Before founding the firm, Jonchères was a founding partner at Lex Start Avocats in Montreal, a trainee lawyer at Haas Avocats in Paris working in intellectual property and technology law, and a research assistant at the Cyberjustice Laboratory in Montreal focused on technology law and privacy protection. He earned a Licence de droit and a Master 1 in business law from Université Paris Descartes, and an LL.M. in technology law from Université de Montréal in 2016, then completed the École du Barreau in Montreal in 2018. He teaches privacy protection courses at several Quebec institutions and sits on the Information Technology Committee of the Young Bar of Montreal.
