Emma Sakyiwa Amponsah assists clients throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Canada. Before law school she obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy and worked as a Principal Pharmacist. She received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and a Master of Law from Cyprus University, then completed a Professional Law Course and was enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Republic of Ghana, where she gained experience in immigration law. Emma went through the Canadian re-qualification process and was called to the bar in Alberta, and has also been called as a Barrister and Solicitor in British Columbia; she is a member of both the Law Society of Alberta and the Law Society of British Columbia. After articling in Calgary and working as an associate in immigration and criminal law, she served as a Crown Prosecutor with the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service, conducting trials and docket court on matters including sentencing negotiations, bail hearings, and fitness-to-stand-trial applications.
