About Emma
Emma Katz is a partner whose practice covers family law matters and fertility law issues. She spent four years in civil litigation at a boutique firm before moving into family law so she could advocate directly for individuals and families, and she takes care to get to know each client so their interests are protected. Though an experienced litigator, she also values resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution when appropriate, and has completed mediation training through the Mediation Training Centre. She currently serves as vice-chair of the OBA Family Law Executive and chairs the board of directors of Justice for Children and Youth, a legal aid clinic supporting young people across Ontario. She has contributed to resources on parenting time and decision-making responsibility for Family Law Education for Women and wrote the family law chapter for a new edition of Death of a Taxpayer. Emma completed her Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in 2013.
